Project Manager – Detroit, Michigan

DISHER is currently partnering with a fluid power company in Detroit, Michigan to fill their Project Manager role. In this role, you will partner with the Project Engineer to develop project objectives, establish a project schedule and work with the manufacturing team to move through each phase effectively and efficiently.

What you will get to do:
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
  • Determine project responsibilities by reviewing bids, identifying project phases and selecting the team
  • Identify project specifications by utilizing the product design, customer requirements, performance standards, completing test studies and preparing cost estimates
  • Establish and maintain project schedules
  • Review the engineering of jobs, focusing on the form, fit and function of components
  • Work with the Designer to layout equipment based on customer specifications and work with custom to walk through any changes that need to be made
  • Partner with manufacturing team during builds to answer any questions that arise
What will make you successful:
  • Engineering experience with hydraulics, lubrication systems, automotive valves, pumps or sensors
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with AutoCad and SolidWorks
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Honest, hard-working, self-starter personality
  • Strong time management and communication skills
