DISHER is currently partnering with a lithium ion battery manufacturer in Holland, Michigan. We are seeking an HR Generalist to help in fostering a positive and highly effective working environment based on mutual respect and a shared goal of being the number one supplier to our customers.  This position will work in close partnership with our internal customers and external service providers to recruit for both for hourly and salary positions.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Source and interview job applicants, evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining company compensation structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Complete salary survey questionnaires
  • Work to foster a highly desirable workplace with the involvement of all team members to achieve our shared goals
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, initiates changes as necessary to ensure compliance with law, corporate policies and business objectives
  • Provide assistance and counsel to members on HR policies and personal issues, and keep team members informed of all changes in HR policies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication or a related field
  • PHR certification preferred
  • 3-10+ years of experience handling a broad range of responsibilities preferably in a manufacturing environment, focused on recruiting/staffing and compensation analysis
  • Requires the ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and team member information
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated effectiveness in accomplishing goals
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills
  • Able to work flexible hours occasionally to support entire production team
