Manufacturing Engineer– Grand Rapids, Michigan

DISHER is currently partnering with a medical device manufacturer in Grand Rapids, Michigan to help find the right Manufacturing Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will work to improve manufacturing processes and manage change controls for contract manufacturing operations. You will also be implementing product line extensions, and improving existing product designs.

What you will get to do:
  • Provide engineering support to maintain and improve automated assembly processes
  • Prepare change control documentation and perform product testing to support manufacturing changes
  • Review, modify and approve validation documents per FDA guidelines
  • Create and modify existing product specifications based on ISO standards, and customer requirements
  • Oversee product improvement projects, and manage project timelines
  • Train team members with work techniques, and skills required to perform product assembly or processing
  • Participate in maintaining Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO Compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment control, preventative maintenance, and calibration systems for the equipment in the facility
What will make you successful:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with medical devices or plastics
  • Previous experience with automated assembly equipment
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in daily work
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a positive team environment
  • Must have current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without sponsorship
