Senior Project Engineer – Byron Center, Michigan

DISHER is currently partnering with a global sourcing and production management service company in Byron Center, Michigan to fill their Senior Project Engineer role. In this role, you will manage a variety of projects and act as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders.

What you will get to do:
  • Project manage a variety of projects from inception to completion by building the project template and shepherd the team through it
  • Gather and manage the information for the manufacturing process from suppliers and convert it into the quoting process, may also include reviewing and tweaking drawings
  • Manage Purchase Orders (PO) to shipping and provide great customer service
  • Run the Engineering Change Notices (ECN) system
  • Act as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders to relay information
  • Act as the technical expert in quoting
  • Take bi-annual trips to Asia
What will make you successful:
  • 3+ years of experience working in engineering 
  • Experience in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred
  • Previous experience with manufacturing implementation and optimizing for manufacturability
  • Knowledge of tools, slides, die casting, two shot molds, and overmolds
  • Ability to understand and relay information from AutoCAD
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information
