We are currently searching for Interns to contribute to a creative and fun environment in Zeeland, Michigan, full-time during the Fall semester of 2018.  

About DISHER:
DISHER is a full-service product development and engineering services firm in East and West Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana. Our engineering team is highly technical and diversified, serving in a variety of markets including automotive, office furniture, alternative energy, and medical. Our capabilities span from napkin through launch, providing numerous opportunities for us to partner with clients in product and process development, as well as in talent identification and attraction.
 
What you will get to do:
  • Gain experience with product development and design through rapid prototyping, product testing and brainstorming.
  • Create with CAD-based engineering, research and development, and reverse engineering.
  • Work with DISHER customers to complete engineering projects as a consultant.
  • Work independently to interface with customers, with support from the DISHER team.
  • Complete some manual labor.
  • Not be a fetch-donuts-&-coffee type of intern.
  • Work full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.  Flexible working hours are available depending on your schedule.
  • Have the opportunity to continue this internship into further semesters, and/or a full-time job opportunity at DISHER.
 
What will make you successful:
  • Senior year student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with Creo and/or SolidWorks
  • Previous engineering internship or co-op experience
  • Previous experience with the product development process
  • Previous experience with prototyping and model making
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Experience with power tools or shop tools
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States of America for any employer without restrictions or expirations
