DISHER is growing!  We are currently seeking candidates for our full-time, internal Project Engineer position in our Ann Arbor, Michigan office. 

What it’s like to work here:
As a part of the team, you will contribute with the following day-to-day work.  These responsibilities will call on you to foster and nurture relationships with customers.
  • Apply the appropriate depth of discernment and judgment to effectively direct projects in evolving environments
  • Create and execute project work plans
  • Provide expert technical leadership in coordinating, facilitating, motivating, and directing efforts of cross-functional product development teams
  • Work on products in the initial phase of development
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope
  • Assess design feasibility and provide DFM/DFA insight to the customer
  • Lead project design reviews
  • Nerf gun battles with your team to keep you alert and on your toes
  • Review deliverables prepared by the team before passing to the customer
  • Facilitate team and customer meetings by delivering information effectively
  • Ensure all activities associated with major project gates are completed and reviewed per schedule
 
What will make you successful:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of project engineering / program management of product development projects required
  • Automotive industry experience required
  • Experience with Automotive OEMs required
  • Experience with initial stages of product development required
  • \Automotive Interiors and Plastics experience highly preferred
  • Experience with 3D CAD (NX and/or CATIA) highly preferred
  • Must be able to reload a Nerf Gun in under 30 seconds
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States of America for any employer without restrictions or expirations
