We are currently searching for a Capital Equipment Project Manager to join our Zeeland, MI project team.

What you will get to do:
  • Plan, direct and coordinate plant relocations, expansions, shutdowns and capital projects, as well as manufacturing processes across multiple projects/programs.
  • Use your design experience and implement projects and modifications for process improvements.
  • Develop and review Functional (Design) Specifications in engineering design.
  • Elaborate investment requests and list up requirements for new manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Maintenance and Management personnel.
  • Consistently track and communicate project status, critical path, changes, milestones and stage gates through the utilization of Gantt Charts, and other project tools.
  • Manage requirements, approvals and plans at all phases that coordinate and account for operations, hand-offs, inspections, safety, layouts, bid solicitations, constraints, etc.

What will make you successful:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a similar engineering degree, or Construction Management Degree required
  • 10 + years of experience in engineering and project management of construction / capital projects experience required
  • Must have design experience and have implemented projects and modifications for process improvements
  • Experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment required, preferably in the food-, nutritional- or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication skills essential
  • Must have experience working with AutoCAD and plant layouts
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, as well as consult with customers essential
  • Must be effective in reloading a Nerf gun in the midst of an ambush
  • Must have the current and continuing right to work in the USA without sponsorship
  • Ability to travel required.
  • Architectural Engineering background highly desired
  • Experience with food liquid or powder processing highly desired
  • Experience with GMP’s, HACCP’s, OSHA, FDA, USDA general requirements desired
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Project highly desired
  • Clean room experience desired
