Application Engineer Intern (Spring/Summer 2019)

DISHER is currently partnering with a world leader in CNC machine manufacturing in Noblesville, Indiana to fill their Application Engineer Intern role on the team for the Spring/Summer of 2019. In this role, you will develop understanding of the machine product line and gain hands on experience with program development, installation and project development.

What you will get to do:
  • Develop an understanding of the machine product line
  • Gain hands-on technical support experience
  • Assist in reviewing customer part prints, time studies and machine quotations
  • Gain exposure to the development of tooling, work-holding and project purchases
  • Develop documentation related to tooling and work-holding for projects
  • Assist in driving the project forward to meet the quoted timelines
What will make you successful:
  • In pursuit of an Associates of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related degree
  • Previous experience in machine shops and/or working with CNC machines is a plus
  • Previous coursework geared towards applied engineering
  • Clever thinker and skilled problem solver
  • Hands-on worker and comfortable tinkering with the machine on the shop floor

  • Must have current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without sponsorship
