Quality Technician

Quality Technician – Indianapolis, Indiana
DISHER is currently partnering with a supply chain service provider in Indianapolis, Indiana to fill their Quality Technician role on the team. In this role, you will support the quality management system, quality policies, and work instructions.

What you will get to do:
  • Maintain and follow the current quality management system, standard operating procedures, work instructions and records
  • Foster loss prevention awareness while protecting all company assets under your control
  • Understand and use gauge calibration system/software for all inspection equipment and gauging, including DC torque guns, calipers and micrometers
  • Document inspection results be completing reports and logs
  • Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories and materials for conformance to specifications
  • Continue education and stay current on changing technologies and methods in the industry
 
What will make you successful:
  • Associates Degree in a technical program or 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Automotive experience is beneficial
  • Quality Technician Certification from American Society of Quality (ASQ) or willing to get it
  • Previous experience with metal assembly or metal working
  • Organized and meticulous in regards to record keeping
  • Understanding of how a gauge calibration system works and proficient in using various measuring and inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawing and Specifications
  • Familiarity writing and working from detailed technical or functional specifications
  • Team player with the desire to grow and learn
  • Self-starter, and ability to manage work load and schedule well, there is no micro-managing here 
  • Must have current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without sponsorship
