We are currently searching for an Electronics Engineer to add to our full time Engineering team for hardware, software and tester development.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, implement and validate hardware, software and test architectures
  • Plan, deploy and validate hardware and software tools to automate portions of future designs
  • Develop prototypes through internal designs or external off-the-shelf platforms to demonstrate proof of concept
  • Hardware Development:
    • Circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and components selection
    • Derive worst case circuit analyses, mathematical modeling, thermal management and EMC performance studies
    • Various hardware designs including:
      • analog, digital, RF, Bluetooth, CAN, motor control, I/O, etc.
    • Research, choose and connect various wireless technologies
  • Software Development:
    • Including code verification and implementation
    • Formal software engineering methods including working from detailed requirements documents, source code control and issue tracking, code walkthroughs, developer test procedures, and independent formal integration testing.
    • Extensive code reuse is encouraged; develop templates for front-end processors
    • Develop embedded, web, desktop and mobile apps software applications
  • Test Development (preferred but not required):
    • Including requirements verification and implementation
    • Design and build systems/equipment for automated real time control, data acquisition (DAQ) and testing (LabView preferred)
    • Work hands-on with the associated hardware, instrumentation, and a variety of test equipment
  • Participate in hardware, software and test design reviews
  • Debug hardware components and software applications that span multiple languages and multiple systems concurrently, using novel methods, to discover root causes and possible solutions
  • Support other developers in their debugging efforts when needed
  • Have accountability for safety and reliability as they pertain to designs
  • High power electronics experience helpful, but not required
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics / Electrical, Computer Science or related field required
  • 3 - 8 + years of experience in hardware and software development required
  • 3 - 8 + years of experience with C, C++, C#/Java and/or other open source languages required
  • Tester development, LabView, LabWindows/CVI and PHP preferred but not required
  • Strong desire to learn essential
  • Ability to revamp Nerf Guns with maximum power and to reload in a matter of seconds
  • Ability to consult with customers on their worksite and have excellent communication skills.
  • Be a self-starter, have good organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal direction
  • Must have current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
