Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer - -  Spring Lake, Michigan  
Disher is partnering with a Michigan based company, in their need for a full-time Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer for their facility in Spring Lake, Michigan
The Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer will research, design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for products.
  • Design electrical components and products, and determine methods, procedures and conditions for testing prototypes.
  • Adapt conventional electronic circuitry into specific configurations to meet the company performance requirements.
  • Review internal and customer design requirements to assess specific electronic circuitry design needs.
  • Generate and maintain necessary documentation supporting the electronic design of products.
  • Manage product changes caused by component obsolescence or temporary lack of availability.
  • Direct activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Perform or direct Design Verification and Validation testing on products and systems.
  • Complete product and FMEA studies to ensure that products will meet performance and service life requirements.
  • Analyze test results to facilitate correction action when necessary.
  • Perform product worst cased design analysis to assess the theoretical product capability to perform under various conditions.
  • Provide weekly reports for management to access performance against schedules.
  • Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Use CAD design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks and provide technical support for other departments as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from and accredited college or university.  
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering or hardware design.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, business periodicals, technical procedures and government regulations.  
  • Communication skills to write reports, procedure manuals and correspondence as well as effectively present and respond to questions from managers and customers.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Fluent in electrical design software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, etc..
  • Must have current and continuing right to work in the USA without sponsorship.
