Position Summary:

We are partnering with a West Michigan Company in hopes for a full time direct hire as a Supply Chain Senior Manager in which is responsible for managing a fleet of 100 trucks and has direct reports including responsibility in creating/implementing processes/system, building the current team, customer service, sales of equipment, distribution, forecasting, and taking the company to the next level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Applies appropriate communication methods that are clear, succinct and compelling.
  • Create a new process / system for the logistics team and implement it through the West Michigan Locations. 
  • Capable of identifying opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships between one’s area and other areas to achieve business goals.
  • Adept in guiding others to accomplish work objectives.
  • Acts decisively and fosters a healthy working environment.
  • Ability to effectively train, coach and evaluate staff.
  • Ability to sell other services and equipment to vendors. 
  • Able to build re-pour with new clients and current employees. 
  • Manage the work of logistics engineers, planning engineers, and inventory analyst etc. 
  • Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes.
  • Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in multiple logistics systems including RIMAS, Excel, Etc,.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Thorough understanding of supplier chain processes and practices.
  • Multi-culture management capability and working experience.
