DISHER is partnering with a West Michigan based industrial machining distributor, in their need for a full-time Sales Engineer to serve in the Detroit, Michigan areaThe core purpose of the Sales Engineer role is to connect with customers, evaluate their service needs and make connection points for the company, as well as identifying trends and emerging markets.

What you will do:
  • Establish and build relationships with potential customers.
  • Utilize resources to identify prospects, make connections and build rapport to create new customer leads.
  • Collaborate with management to improve company presence in new markets.
  • Attend industry networking events and trade shows to build new leads and connect with current clients.
  • Maintain database of existing and new client information.  
  • Identify potential opportunities for company growth by staying informed on industry trends.
  • Will travel to customer locations as needed, and will depend on your given territory could potentially travel 50 percent of the time.
 
What will help you succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred, but not required.
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must have knowledge in CNC Machinery.
  • Desire to help clients and find the best possible solutions.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction.
  • Natural curiosity and inclination to ask questions.
  • Thrive in group and team work setting.
  • Ability the work independently and be self-driven.
  • Time Management will be a key to success.
  • Goal-orientated and desire to contribute to the overall success of the company.
