Engineering Technician – Spring Lake, Michigan

DISHER is currently partnering with an electronic manufacturing company Spring Lake, Michigan to fill their Engineering Technician role. The purpose of this role is to assemble and test products under direction of engineering and scientific staff.

What you will get to do:
  • Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, meters, power supplies, and test fixtures, and understand their use and function.
  • Read wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions to assemble electrical and electronic systems.
  • Build prototype units and test fixtures.
  • Set up and test units to specified requirements.
  • Conduct detailed experimental testing.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to determine root cause and recommend a corrective action.
What will make you successful:
  • Minimum of Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or completion of an approved certified electronics, electrical and/​or instrumentation program or Military trade school equivalent (MOS, NEC).
  • Ability to solder and de-solder components (SMT components 0201 and fine pitch IC).
  • Ability to use Schematic Capture tools to coordinate with electrical design.
  • Problem solving skills, digital and analog skills, and the ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment.
  • Professional verbal and written communication.
